Recently, two senior technicians of our company, Wang Kunming and Shao Hongchao, successfully completed the repair task of Foton Auman vehicles in Malaysia and returned triumphantly. In March, in response to the urgent needs of Malaysian customers, Wang Kunming and Shao Hongchao shouldered important responsibilities and rushed to the local area to carry out maintenance work on Foton Auman vehicles. After arriving at the scene, the two technicians quickly put into intensive work. The main task they faced was to replace the front wheel bearings, bearing skins and oil seals of Foton Auman vehicles (including new cars and customer cars). This work may seem routine, but in fact it requires extremely high technical accuracy and operating specifications.
During the maintenance process, technicians strictly follow standard procedures. First of all, safety preparations were made. They parked the vehicle on the flat ground, accurately operated the jack to lift the body, and quickly stabilized it with iron horse brackets to build a solid safety foundation for subsequent operations. During the process of dismantling the drum and replacing the oil seal, the special tools were used freely in their hands, accurately removing the inner bearing and baffle and smoothly replacing the oil seal. When removing the bearing skin, control the knocking force and angle just right to avoid any damage to the wheel drum.
After cleaning the steering column and its components, technicians began a detailed inspection. With keen observation and professional knowledge, technician Wang Kunming discovered slight wear on the inner bearings of one customer's car, while technician Shao Hongchao noticed that the steering knuckle clearance of another car exceeded the standard range. They immediately reported the problem and, after receiving instructions from the company's technical support team, carried out repairs and replacements in an orderly manner. The steps of applying lubricating grease, installation and adjustment are completed in one go. The adjustment nuts and tension gauges are used to accurately adjust the gap to the standard value to ensure that the performance of the vehicle is restored to the original. In the end, they installed the tires in a standardized manner, and marked the old bearings with the frame number and properly stored them.
